THE TURNING TORSO, MALMÖ, SWEDEN

The Turning Torso is the tallest skyscraper in Sweden and the Nordic countries. The building is 190 metres high, and was designed by the architect Santiago Calatrava. Bevent Rasch supplied, among other things, intake air cowls for the façade that are fully shielded from the rain. 

MALL OF SCANDINAVIA, STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN

Mall of Scandinavia in Stockholm is Scandinavia’s largest shopping centre, and one of Bevent Rasch’s largest-ever projects. The mall has an area of 101,000 square metres, 250 shops and restaurants, and a cinema with 15 screens.

THE MÖLNDAL GALLERIA, GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN

The Mölndal Galleria on the outskirts of Gothenburg is a newly constructed shopping mall of 24,000 square metres, with 70 shops, cafés, and restaurants and 800 parking spaces. Bevent Rasch provided several unique solutions for this project, including 27.5 tonnes of custom-designed duct silencers.

RIGSHOSPITALET, COPENHAGEN, DENMARK

Rigshospitalet in Copenhagen is expanding its facilities and adding a new building. This will consist of 238 single rooms, 33 modern surgery rooms, and an intensive care unit.

CROSSRAILS LONDON, UK

Crossrails London is Europe’s most ambitious infrastructural project; it was commenced in 2009, and opened to the public in 2018. The project involves 42 km of new tunnels, 10 new stations, and the upgrading of another 30 stations.

Friends Arena is a multi-purpose arena in the Arenastaden district in Solna, just north of central Stockholm. This is Sweden’s national arena, and has a capacity of 65,000 people. Bevent Rasch delivered dampers for, among other things, the retractable roof.

Airport City Stockholm is Sweden’s first airport-based urban area, built around Arlanda Airport. Bevent Rasch is one of the suppliers of products to several of the projects, including the new VIP building (which has its own check-in and security control) and Sky City Office One building (featuring 11 storeys of offices).

QUEEN SILVIA’S CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL, GOTHENBURG, SWEDEN

With its new children’s hospital currently under construction, Gothenburg will possess one of the most prominent children’s and youth hospitals in the world, with great expertise in highly specialised children’s healthcare, clinical research, and education. The building will contain rehabilitation facilities, operating theatres, intensive care units, nursing wards, and administration offices.

BORÅS KONGRESS, BORÅS, SWEDEN

The Borås Kongress convention centre was opened in 2018, and the building – which was originally designed by the Borås architect Gunnar Jonsson in 1939 – has now been almost entirely restored to the condition it was in when it was inaugurated as a People’s House. Bevent Rasch supplied all of the fire-protection products, cowls, and kitchen ventilation for the building. The kitchen hoods utilise a unique, four-stage purification technique, involving mechanical filters, vacuum, UV, UVC, and ozone. This keeps the grease chambers and channels clean and reduces the need for the ventilation system to be cleaned.

STUDENTERNAS IP ARENA, UPPSALA, SWEDEN

In 2020, the new Studenternas IP arena will be inaugurated. This project has been called Uppsala’s ‘super arena’, and it is estimated that it will cost roughly 488 million SEK. Construction began in Autumn 2017 and, in addition to a new football arena with a capacity of 10,000 spectators, there will also be a café, a restaurant, a gym, shops, and offices.

Swedavia’s billion-SEK investment to develop the Airport City Stockholm area is in its final stages. Bevent Rasch supplied several of the projects in the area, including the recently opened Comfort Hotel Arlanda Airport, which with its 503 rooms is one of the Stockholm area’s largest hotels.

Norra Tornen is a spectacular 125-metre-high housing project comprising 178 apartments. Among other things, Bevent Rasch has specially designed louvres for the façade that are adapted to the exterior, in collaboration with the architect and our own designers.
